The Founder/ Teacher

Arlene’s passion for dance started when she had her first ballet lesson at Brenda Keys School of Dance in Southgate at the age of 2 and a half years old.

Since then she has attended various performing arts and dance schools such as Jigsaw Performing Arts School and Rascals Theatre School in London and Jacquisons, Bishop Stortford Musical Theatre Company, and Graham School of Dance all in Bishops Stortford.

She studied performing arts at the Bodywork company, a renowned institution for dance and performing arts education in Cambridge for 4 years achieving a level 6 Diploma. 

She has been choreographing and teaching for 3 years commercial and hip hop for ages ranging between 7 to 30 years old at places such as Bases Dance Studios and Streetz Ahead Dance Academy. 

She is also a part-time mentor for children 7 to 16 years old in London and has experience/training in working with children with ADHD.  

She loves encouraging kids to be creative through dance, building confidence in her students through socialising, and working as a team in a fun environment.

Afrobeat

Afrobeat dance is a unique fusion of traditional and modern day African derived movements

Commercial

Commerical is a dance style designed to be performed infront of an audience it is a fusion of a broad category of dance moves from Hip hop and Jazz to Tap and Ballet. It is usuaslly performed with energy and precision while still making the routine look effortlesss.

Hip Hop

Hip Hop Dance is a style of movement characterized by bounces and rocks, executed to Hip Hop music. It has deep historical and social roots in African American culture, having emerged in Black communities living in 1970s New York.
